Introduction to the main features of axial flow fans

Axial flow fan, airflow axially into the impeller, axial out of the fan, through the airflow of the fan will not change direction, so called axial flow type, axial flow fan of common example is the daily use of electric fans. Axial fan blades work in a similar way to the wings of an aircraft, but the aircraft is the lift upward on the wings and support the weight of the aircraft, while the axial fan is fixed position and make the air move.

Axial fans are mainly used in applications with low pressure and high flow rates.

The cross-section of an axial fan is generally wing-shaped. The blades can be fixed or adjustable. The adjustable blade angle is one of the main advantages of axial fans.

Advanced axial flow fan can change the blade angle when the fan is working, so as to change the flow rate accordingly, this kind of fan is called dynamic blade adjustable axial flow fan.

Some axial fan blade angle operation is not adjustable, but can adjust the blade in front of the static guide vane, this kind of fan is called mixed flow fan, or called static adjustable axial fan.
